Her story is unique, and yet her voice is so familiar. She truly bares her soul, let's the reader in on how she has conceived situations in her life. She portrays this beautiful flawed [dare I say] goddess, who learns from her mistakes, celebrates her 'flaws' (for lack of a better term) and continues to grow...and learn! She seems to have a great desire to learn and reach for self-actualization; however, she expresses contentment with where she is currently at in her life. It's very yogi, of course, this idea of "there's no rush, I am here." She seems to have found peace.
This is a truly beautiful book, it is well-written, easy to follow and engage with, and the sequences are thoughtful and intentional. I highly highly recommend purchasing this book, even if you're not into yoga! Everyone can learn something from her writings, and I know in my heart it will inspire many people. I myself, at the lively age of 29, loved her take on menopause, although I am years away from it! I love how she made it into something more positive for women, versus this thing we dread so much. She reminds us to appreciate what makes us unique and uniquely beautiful. It's so important for a woman to share how she found her voice and found confidence within herself. It's refreshing to have a woman open up and share her life's story, even including the difficult parts she may not be proud of, and show that you can come out on the other side - and come out even stronger and better than before. So much gratitude, Colleen!
