This morning I had my awesome Barre Burn class, where we spent some quality time with a resistance band around our legs. My mantra in that class is "Earn the burn! EARN THE BURN!" I made sure that as soon as I was done getting ready I had my shake, so that the protein in it would help mend my muscles...or whatever protein does after a hard workout. After getting to work, I walked over to Starbucks with my coworker and bought an unsweetened grande iced green tea, which was the perfect morning drink for such a hot humid day that we had today in Boston! I felt a little hungry, so I had a few raw almonds. Then I had my second shake around 10:30am, and ate my lunch around 12/12:30pm. Lunch was a green salad consisting of lacinato kale, arugula, 1/2 a chicken breast (that I cooked this past Sunday), some spiralized beet, great northern beans, shredded carrots, a few chopped olives, tossed with a quick vinaigrette I made using balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a splash of apple cider vinegar, s&p, turmeric, granulated garlic, and a tsp of whole grain mustard (enough for two salads).
